Laura Popescu, MD

Laura Popescu, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician providing comprehensive primary care for adults 18 and up. Growing up in a medical family in Romania, Dr. Popescu was drawn to the practice of medicine with a desire to help people live their best lives. She is a highly experienced physician, providing care for both acute and chronic conditions, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, heart disease, allergies, skin issues like acne, eczema or rashes, menopause, osteoporosis, thyroid disease among others. Having previously served as a hospitalist, she appreciates how important it is for patients to have adequate follow-up with their primary care doctor after leaving the hospital – and how that proper follow-up can even prevent unnecessary hospitalizations. Dr. Popescu does not prescribe stimulant or narcotic medications.

In her free time, Dr. Popescu enjoys traveling and hiking with her husband and daughters and playing piano to relax. She speaks English and Romanian.
