Luis Mejia, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist with over 30 years of experience. He earned his medical degree at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra School of Medicine in Santiago, Dominican Republic, where he later taught biochemistry, physiology and pharmacology. Dr. Mejia completed his residency training in internal medicine at Detroit Medical Center, Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI, where he also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology. He has served the greater Orlando metro area since 2010. Before coming to Florida, Dr. Mejia helped patients in Texas for several years, and before that was an intensive care physician at Clinica Corominas, Santiago, Dominican Republic. Dr. Mejia is dedicated to providing whole-person care to his patients, treating body, mind and spirit and is fluent in English and Spanish.
