Dr. Imad Nakshabendi is a highly skilled and board-certified gastroenterologist and internist with over 30 years of experience in the field. He completed his medical degree at the University of Baghdad and earned his PhD from the University of Glasgow in 1997, where his groundbreaking research focused on small intestinal mucosal function and its relationship to disease. Dr. Nakshabendi completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of South Florida in 2000 and has since become a trusted leader in gastrointestinal care in the Tampa Bay area. With a career spanning decades, Dr. Nakshabendi has performed over 50,000 gastrointestinal procedures, specializing in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies, including colonoscopy, ERCP, and EGD. He is one of the few physicians in the region offering a non-surgical, pain-free treatment for hemorrhoids, reflecting his commitment to innovative and patient-centered care.
