ORANGE CITY, Fla., February 9, 2018 On Jan. 31, AdventHealth Fish Memorial donated nearly $5,500 worth of clinic supplies to 23 schools in western Volusia County.
The donation provided a wide variety of supplies to local elementary, middle and high schools, including gloves, bandages, tongue depressors and hand sanitizer.
Kids shouldn't have to worry about being sick in school, said Rob Deininger, AdventHealth Fish Memorial CEO. When kids are healthy, they can be more active and engaged in the classroom. We hope this donation make a positive impact on the lives of students.
AdventHealth Fish Memorial began this annual clinic supply donation in 1998 as part of their goal to keep kids healthy. Over the past 20 years, the number of schools has increased from 17 to 23, growing the hospital's relationship with the community.
