MERRIAM, Kan. — AdventHealth is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Myers as the Regional Chief Information Officer for AdventHealth Mid-America Region, a role she assumed in November 2025.
In this role, Myers provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the region’s technology strategy, innovation and service delivery. Most recently she was the IT Director for AdventHealth Mid-America Region, leading technology strategy and delivery for major initiatives including the recent additions of the AdventHealth Cancer Institute and AdventHealth Lenexa City Center.
“In Albanian, the word Besa means a ‘pledge of honor,’ ‘solemn faith,’ or ‘to keep the promise.’ That deeply resonates with me,” said Myers. “I feel a profound sense of responsibility to the people I work with; I want to show up for them and keep my promise to make things better.”
Myers joined AdventHealth in 2020 as an analyst where she led COVID clinic registration design across the organization and developed custom vaccine reporting solutions. She later served as interim manager for multiple teams, guiding AdventHealth during the transition of its electronic medical record platform to Epic, ensuring readiness for go-lives.
“I’ve had the true privilege of working with an incredible group of people from every part of AdventHealth Mid-America Region — EVS, nursing, supply chain, facilities and AIT,” said Myers. “I’m excited to continue this journey: working hard, listening, understanding, and extending the healing ministry of Christ through technology.”
“Sarah is a trusted, visionary leader who brings both deep technical expertise and a genuine heart for our mission,” said Bill Heinrich, chief finance officer for AdventHealth Mid-America Region. “She has an exceptional ability to translate innovation into meaningful impact for our patients, clinicians and communities. We are grateful for her continued leadership and confident that, as CIO, she will help shape the future of care across our region through technology that truly serves people.”
Sarah holds a Master of Business Administration in healthcare administration and a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Central Missouri. She serves as a Computer Support Specialist Program board member at Johnson County Community College.
