AdventHealth unveils new gate entrance at Daytona International Speedway

AdventHealth has unveiled a brand-new Injector – or gate entrance – at the Daytona International Speedway in advance of DAYTONA 500.

A rushing waterfall first greets race fans as they approach the newly redesigned AdventHealth injector, focusing on messages of health, wellbeing and wholeness.

An oasis within a concrete jungle, the AdventHealth injector brings elements of nature into the 20,000-plus square feet of engagement space. On a hot day, fans can cool off by walking through the AdventHealth mist wall, featuring photos of manatees at local Volusia County springs. There’s also a grassy rooftop deck for a sunny respite.

Inside the AdventHealth injector, guests can play interactive games that naturally ties the sport of racing to health and wellness, testing race fans’ hand-eye coordination – a vital skill on the racetrack.

And, of course, selfie stations abound throughout the AdventHealth Injector to help guests celebrate race day with their social connections.

“Daytona International Speedway provides AdventHealth with a national platform to amplify our new brand,” said David Ottati, CEO of the AdventHealth Central Florida Division – North Region, which includes the locations in Volusia, Flagler and Lake counties. “Across the nation, there is a race track within a few hours of almost every AdventHealth market. This allows our entire system of nearly 50 hospitals in almost a dozen states to celebrate and participate in the NASCAR program.”

As the exclusive healthcare provider of Daytona International Speedway, AdventHealth cares for more than 1,000 patients each year on site – including everything from heart attacks to heat stroke to injuries and falls. In the event of an emergency, there are 11 AdventHealth ambulances, two care centers and nine first aid stations standing ready to care for drivers and fans alike.

AdventHealth began a relationship with the Daytona International Speedway in 2014.
