ORANGE CITY, Fla., July 22, 2016 The Deltona Little League presented Florida Hospital Fish Memorial with a plaque in appreciation of the hospital's $1,000 sponsorship to support the health and wellness of youth baseball players throughout the community.
This year marks the Deltona Little Leagues 50th anniversary, and to commemorate it, they presented framed photos of the team to Florida Hospital Fish Memorial leadership.
The benefits of youth baseball are vast and well-evident, as it serves as a healthy outlet for both socialization and physical fitness. Sports provide kids an excellent opportunity to build self-esteem and develop a sense of connectedness and community, all of which are critical to their development, said Rob Deininger, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial CEO. We are so proud to support the Deltona Little League, and in turn, support the kids in our community, as they grow and develop into future leaders in our community.
