PALM COAST, Fla., October 26, 2016 Florida Hospital Flagler has named Wayne A. Taylor, PharmD as director of pharmacy services.
In this new role, Taylor is responsible for managing the hospital's pharmacy department and overseeing the pharmacy's policies and procedures in accordance with established policies of the hospital and in accordance with The Joint Commission standards.
He has 27 years of experience as a pharmacist and has been in pharmacy management for 16 years.
Taylor has been with Florida Hospital for 10 years and most recently served as manager of clinical pharmacy services at Florida Hospital Tampa, Florida Hospital Carrollwood, and Florida Hospital at Connerton long term acute care. In this role, he was responsible for establishing, coordinating, and implementing all aspects of clinical pharmacy functions with an emphasis on therapeutic drug monitoring, clinical pathways, formulary management, pharmacoeconomics and patient outcomes through detailed reporting systems. Additionally, he has served as a preceptor for Doctor of Pharmacy students from several colleges of pharmacy within and outside the state of Florida.
A Palm Coast resident, Taylor earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree cum laude from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.
