NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., February 6, 2017 Florida Hospital New Smyrna has selected Dawn Lynch to serve as chief nursing officer (CNO), effective Feb. 13.
In this role, Lynch will be responsible for the organization and administration of nursing care at the 112-bed New Smyrna Beach facility.
With nearly 35 years of clinical experience, Lynch began her healthcare journey at Florida Hospital Orlando, serving in a variety of clinical roles. Since 2015, she has been the director of surgical services at Florida Hospital Orlando. Prior to that, she was the chief nursing officer for a critical access hospital in rural Montana.
A New Smyrna Beach resident, she earned Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Adventist University in Tennessee and a Master of Science Nursing with an emphasis in leadership and management from Walden University in Minnesota.
Dawn is passionate about delivering holistic, patient-centered care. She is energized by the work of developing and nurturing high functioning teams, said Ken Mattison, Florida Hospital New Smyrna CEO.
