Florida Hospital's East Florida Region names executive director of quality

VOLUSIA AND FLAGLER COUNTIES, Fla., April 4, 2017 The Florida Hospital East Florida Region, which is composed of the six Florida Hospitals located in Volusia and Flagler counties, has selected Rhonda Battani to serve as executive director of quality. In this role, Battani is responsible for aligning and integrating clinical, patient safety, infection prevention, performance improvement, risk management and education strategies for the entire region. Battani has more than 20 years of healthcare experience and has been with Florida Hospital since 2014. Most recently, Battani served as the director of quality and patient safety officer for Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, where she led significant clinical performance improvements. We are blessed to have Rhonda's leadership as we continue our efforts to align and integrate clinical, patient safety, infection prevention, performance improvement, risk management and education strategies, said Trish Celano, chief clinical officer and senior vice president of the Florida Hospital East Florida Region. She is passionate about patient-centered care and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration around frontline-led performance improvement strategies. Battani, an Ormond Beach resident, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pensacola Christian College.
