Adventist Health System, which includes Gordon Hospital, was recognized in Becker's Healthcare's 2016 "150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare" list. The list of organizations features both U.S. healthcare provider organizations as well as other types of healthcare specific companies.
"To be recognized once again as a great place to work in healthcare is an honor," said Pete Weber, Gordon Hospital president and CEO. "Our employees commitment to extending the healing ministry of Christ can be seen not only in their interactions with patients, but also in the supportive work environment they create each day."
The organizations included in this years list were chosen based on recognition previously earned for workplace excellence, as well as benefits offerings, wellness initiatives, and efforts to improve professional development, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, and a sense of community among employees.
In honoring Adventist Health System, Becker's Hospital Review noted that employee benefits vary from campus to campus but system-wide benefits include a tuition reimbursement program, company-paid flu shots, and cafes with healthy menu options.
