ORANGE CITY, Fla., December 21, 2016 On Dec. 16, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial CEO Rob Deininger loaded up his sleigh (a Toyota sedan) and dropped off Christmas gifts hospital employees had donated for the Florida United Methodist Children's Home in Deltona.
This is what Christmas is all about giving of ourselves to others. Seeing this pile of gifts from our care team was so moving. I hope these toys bring a smile to the nearly 450 boys and girls staying at the Florida United Methodist Children's Home during Christmas, Deininger said.
The Florida United Methodist Children's Home was established in Enterprise, Fla., in 1908 as the Florida Methodist Orphanage. It is now a diverse ministry that includes residential care, therapeutic group care, foster care, emergency shelter care, independent living assistance, and community child care center.
