VOLUSIA and FLAGLER COUNTIES, Fla., April 17, 2017 The Florida Hospital East Florida Region, which is composed of the six Florida Hospitals located in Volusia and Flagler counties, has selected Debra Graham to serve as executive director of health information management and coding.
This new position combines Grahams former role as director of health information management with the role of coding director; overseeing both departments will allow for increased operational efficiency.
Graham has extensive experience in both health information management and coding. She has nearly 35 years of experience and has been with Adventist Health System for 21 years.
In her most recent role as director of health information management for the Florida Hospital East Florida Region, Graham oversaw the health information management departments of each hospital and assisted in the transition of health information management functions when Florida Hospital New Smyrna was added to the region in April 2016. Additionally, she has managed the transition of transcription services to M*Modal and centralized the scanning departments to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
A DeLand resident, Graham received a bachelors in health information management and a masters in healthcare administration from the University of Central Florida. Additionally, she is a certified registered health information administrator, as well as a certified coding specialist.
