Counseling
Counseling is a common form of treatment for a variety of behavioral and physical conditions, including depression as well as chronic illness. A specially trained counselor can develop an individualized treatment plan that aims to improve your quality of life and help you meet personal goals. Your progress will be tracked based on the goals that you create with your counselor regarding your mental health, family and social interactions, career goals, physical health and more. In some instances, medication may be paired with counseling under the strict supervision of a medical professional. Counseling is another great way to get connected to other programs within the community that can help you continue with your plan of care beyond the physician's office.
