Common Pelvic Issues We Treat
Whether from childbirth, age, an injury or surgery, or a combination of factors, pelvic floor problems can feel physically painful and emotionally isolating. But conditions like urinary and fecal incontinence are more common than you might think, and they’re very treatable.
We offer pelvic floor therapy, medication and minimally invasive surgical techniques (vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic) to address:
-
Pelvic Organ Prolapse
Drooping of the organs found in the pelvic floor including the bladder, uterus, vagina, bowel and rectum.
-
Urinary Incontinence
The involuntary leakage of urine.
-
Overactive Bladder
Sudden, urgent need to urinate and/or frequent urination.
-
Fecal Incontinence
The loss of bowel control, causing gas or stool leakage from the rectum.
-
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
Weakness or damage in the pelvic floor causing pain, pressure, bulging or bowel control issues.
-
Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
Infection in the kidney, bladder or urethra, often causing pain with urination or blood in the urine (microscopic hematuria).
-
Painful Bladder Syndrome
Also known as interstitial cystitis causing chronic pain and pressure in the bladder area.
-
Dyspareunia
Persistent or recurrent genital pain that occurs just before, during or after intercourse.
