Ernest Tong, MD, is a urologist with special training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures. He is passionate about addressing a wide range of sensitive issues that affect patients’ lives and making an impact on their overall well-being. He takes a compassionate approach while also integrating leading-edge technology, such as robotic surgery, to improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Tong earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology at the University of Texas in Austin before attending medical school at the University of Texas in Galveston. He went on to complete a residency in urology at LSU Health Shreveport and a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic/robotics at Hackensack University Medical Center.
In his free time, Dr. Tong stays active with basketball, tennis, ultimate frisbee, biking and running. He also enjoys cooking and playing video games.
