Luv Hajirawala, MD, FACS, FASCRS

Dr. Hajirawala is a board-certified Colorectal and General Surgeon with a comprehensive practice dedicated to the full spectrum of colorectal and general surgical care. He manages a wide range of conditions including cancers of the colon and rectum, anal cancer, complex diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease), benign and malignant appendiceal disease, gallbladder disease, hernias, pilonidal disease, and anorectal concerns such as hemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas and anorectal dysplasia/condylomata.

Dr. Hajirawala performs the majority of his operations using a robotic- assisted, minimally invasive approach, allowing patients to benefit from smaller incisions, reduced pain, shorter hospital stays, and a quicker return to normal life. His advanced training and experience in robotic and laparoscopic techniques ensure high-quality, precise surgical care tailored to each patient’s needs. He has been recognized as a Surgeon of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation — a designation given to surgeons who meet rigorous standards for safety, outcomes, and expertise in robotic procedures.

After earning his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Florida, Dr. Hajirawala completed medical school at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami. He then completed a rigorous General Surgery residency, followed by fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He was recognized throughout his training with numerous awards, including induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his academic excellence and compassionate care. Dr. Hajirawala is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (FASCRS) — a testament to his continued commitment to surgical excellence and professional advancement.
