Vidhi Thakkar, PsyD

Vidhi Thakkar, Psy.D, is a compassionate pediatric psychologist who cares for children and their families. As part of her practice, she treats various psychological conditions, with a focus on the connection between the body and mind. She incorporates developmental and environmental factors to adapt interventions that are unique to each patient and their needs. Dr. Thakkar was initially drawn to psychology because of her curiosity about how thoughts, emotions, perceptions and beliefs can shape someone’s life. After further studying the field, she became fascinated by the direct impact that emotional health has on physical health. She was inspired to help people bridge the gap between the two and find whole-person healing in body, mind and spirit. Dr. Thakkar earned her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University. She then completed her master's and doctorate degrees in psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In her free time, Dr. Thakkar enjoys traveling, hiking, exercising, reading and practicing her spirituality.
