AdventHealth Foundation Boards in Lake Placid, Sebring, and Wauchula the Heartland Community for supporting our Fourth Annual Clay Shoot that was held May 6 at Quail Creek Plantation in Okeechobee. All proceeds raised at the event will be used to meet the healthcare needs in Highlands and Hardee counties. Because of you, a life was saved!
With 107 shooters and 17 station sponsors the shoot was a huge success with a gross income of more than $35,000. The event was topped with wonderful weather and delicious fresh fruit donated by Clear Springs and Futch Farms. Our shooters thirst was quenched with assorted juices donated by Natalie's Orchid Island Juice and Everglades Farm Equipment satisfied the guest's sweet tooth with homemade ice cream. Quail Creek Plantation provided the participants with a delicious BBQ lunch as winners were awarded their plaques and raffle item tickets were drawn.
We would also like to thank our major sponsors - Prize Sponsor, MidFlorida Credit Union, our Gold Sponsors, All About Lawns, Brasfield and Gorrie, LLC., Natalie's Orchid Island Juice Co., Senator Denise Grimsley, Representative Cary Pigman, and our Green Bird Sponsor, Gertrude S. McGrew.
Through our tireless efforts and around the clock pursuits, AdventHealth West Florida Foundation in Lake Placid, Sebring and Wauchula confidently and passionately fulfill the community's healthcare needs.
