AdventHealth Rome Turkey Trot brings community together

Runners and walkers finished their Turkey Trot with a lap around the bases at AdventHealth Stadium.

Over 700 runners, walkers and volunteers gathered on Thanksgiving morning for the second annual AdventHealth Rome Turkey Trot, celebrating community, movement and gratitude. Despite chilly temperatures, walkers and runners filled the scenic riverside route and crossed the finish line inside AdventHealth Stadium, completing a triumphant lap around the bases.

This year’s event raised a total of $15,000 for Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries, helping provide meals and support for families in need right here in our community. The Turkey Trot reflects AdventHealth’s commitment to whole-person health and demonstrates how coming together can make a lasting impact.

“We’re grateful to everyone who came out on Thanksgiving to be part of this fun and exciting event,” said Isaac Sendros, president and CEO of AdventHealth Georgia and AdventHealth Redmond. “The Turkey Trot reminds us that health is more than physical fitness, it’s about connection, compassion and caring for our community.”

AdventHealth extends heartfelt thanks to TRED of Rome/Floyd County, the Rome Emperors, Wire 2 Wire Running and the City of Rome for their partnership and support in making this event possible. Their collaboration ensured a safe, fun, and memorable experience for all.
