DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., February 26, 2018 Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center has selected Anna Maria Araujo to serve as the manager for the post anesthesia care unit, ambulatory surgical unit, and the preadmission testing department.

Araujo has 18 years of nursing experience and seven years of leadership experience in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care. She began her nursing career in a busy level 2 trauma emergency department, prior to transitioning to the post-anesthesia care unit.

Most recently, she served as perioperative manager for Atlantic Health System in New Jersey and was responsible for the daily operations of all surgical services departments, as well as infusion and vascular departments for both the Newton and Hackettstown campuses.

Araujo earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Felician University in Lodi, New Jersey. Additionally, she is a Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse by the American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification. She has also earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in Complementary and Integrative Therapies.
