ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 21, 2025 — Two simple words can make all the difference when it comes to opening up about mental health.
That’s the idea behind “You Good?”, a public service campaign launched by AdventHealth for Children to help parents, coaches and teachers get youth to share how they’re feeling.
To launch the campaign, AdventHealth for Children experts teamed up with Orlando Magic players Paolo Banchero and Wendell Carter Jr., and radio host Johnny Magic for a kickoff event at Jones High School.
“Since the pandemic, we’ve seen an increase in the incidence of mental health conditions in kids. We know that half of all mental health conditions begin by age 14, and one in five children is impacted by a mental health disorder at any given time,” said Chloe Barry, a licensed pediatric psychologist with AdventHealth for Children. “That’s why it’s important that these conversations take place. With ‘You Good?’, we’re helping parents, teachers and coaches check in with kids to let them know they care, and are here to help.”
“You Good?” harnesses the influence of sports, with the goal of giving families access to practical tools and resources available online at BeAMindleader.com, to help kids experiencing mental health challenges to feel whole. It represents the next phase of “Be a Mindleader,” an AdventHealth for Children initiative launched in 2023 for kids ages 5-17.
The event featured frank conversation, along with a Q&A with the players and a shootaround with the Jones High basketball teams.
“Orange County Public Schools demonstrates an exceptional commitment to supporting students’ mental health through comprehensive resources and dedicated staff,” said OCPS Superintendent Maria Vazquez. “While this foundation is invaluable, having outside support can only further strengthen our ability to meet diverse needs and ensure every student has access to the care and guidance they deserve.”
