Laurie Chandler has joined AdventHealth Georgia as the manager of community advocacy.
AdventHealth is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurie Chandler as manager of community advocacy for the AdventHealth Georgia market. Laurie brings more than 25 years of experience in higher education, where she established a reputation for fostering strategic partnerships with community organizations to address social challenges through collaboration and mutual engagement. Her expertise in program development and stakeholder engagement reflects her belief that sustainable solutions emerge from collective thought and action.
In her new role, Laurie will expand whole-person care in Northwest Georgia by leading community health needs assessments and community benefit initiatives across Floyd, Gordon and Murray counties. “Her passion for service and collaborative spirit make her a great fit for our mission, and I’m confident she will make a meaningful impact from day one,” said Scotty Hancock, director of business development, government relations and EMS for AdventHealth Georgia.
“I am honored to join AdventHealth in their commitment to community health and look forward to working alongside our neighbors to ensure access, education and resources related to priority health issues,” said Laurie.
Laurie and her husband, Brian, a law enforcement officer, have two children: Will, a senior history major at Berry College, and Jess, a freshman pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Berry College. Outside of work, Laurie enjoys family adventures, discovering unique dining experiences — especially barbecue — treasure hunting at thrift shops, and relaxing with a cup of coffee on her back porch swing.
