Recently, Dr. Kit shared a powerful story of a patient who has been deaf since the age of 5. Though an interpreter was present, the patient chose to speak for himself, expressing how deeply touched he was by the care he received in our Emergency Department.
“They treated me good. I couldn’t compare them. They were all good to me,” he said.
What stood out most to him was the moment four staff members came to pray with him. “Most hospitals don’t do that,” he shared. “I felt peace and felt good when they prayed for me.”
This patient, who faces a difficult home situation, found not only medical care but also emotional and spiritual support. Dr. Kit and Jennifer went above and beyond accompanying him to specialist appointments and even welcoming him into their home for a meal.
His story is a beautiful reminder of what it means to extend the healing ministry of Christ. At AdventHealth Manchester, we’re honored to walk alongside our patients with compassion, faith, and whole-person care.
