Patients in Hinsdale, La Grange and Woodridge now have expanded access to advanced general and endocrine surgical care with UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Medical Group welcoming Isabelle Chu, MD.
Dr. Chu is board-certified in General Surgery and specializes in minimally invasive and open approaches for a variety of general surgical and endocrine disorders, with particular emphasis on multidisciplinary management of thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disease. Her clinical interests include thyroid cancer and benign thyroid disease, hyperparathyroidism, adrenal gland tumors, gallbladder surgery and lipomas.
She received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, completed her residency in General Surgery at Swedish Medical Center – First Hill, and completed a fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Chu is a member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. She was awarded the Resident Research Award at Swedish Medical Center in 2024.
